one.
I work between fifty and sixty hours each week. don't you dare ask me what the fuck my problem is.
two.
am I a fool for loving Ted Kennedy? yeah, yeah...he's a womanizing drunk, but he sure is funny!
three.
there are some truly kind folks out there. one of my coworkers at After School Matters ran out into the rain to buy me some flip flops so that my suede shoes wouldn't be ruined by the water.
four.
I need more women in my life. in general, I mean. that probably seems like an odd thing to write, but I really think I do.
five.
I miss working at Free Street. Bryn and I have been emailing each other over the past few days, and good lord...I wish I could write the way he does. the way he uses language is absolutely devastating.
six.
I cannot stand seventy-five percent of the Urban employees. they're all twenty-somethings from small towns that come to Chicago thinking they're so damn cool, acting and partying like I did two years ago because they're so excited by big city-living.
seven.
sometimes I stop by the photo lab after my day shift. sometimes he's in the darkroom. sometimes he looks happy to see me. I'm always good at hiding how excited I am to see him.
eight.
my mother showed me a pictures of our farm in the Philippines. my cousins took photographs of our waterfall and our banana trees. I've never seen such beautiful shades of green.
nine.
perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.
ten.
I have absolutely no social life. someone please take me to next week's movie in the park. Please.
